CHACK'N POP [JAPAN]

Chack'n pop is an arcade game developed by taito which was subsequently ported to the sg-1000 in 1985. It follows a yellow creature named chack'n who must traverse across several mazes blowing up monsters. The sg-1000 version of the game includes extra cutscenes and a training level not seen in the arcade version. Though chack'n pop was not a particularly successful game for taito, it would go on to inspire the success of bubble bobble, which shares many of the same characters and devotes a stage to chack'n pop. Chack'n has also cameoed in numerous taito games since, including bubble bobble, fairyland story, parasol stars, puzzle bobble (and sequels), bubble symphony, bubble memories and arkanoid ds. Curiously this sg-1000 version uses the katakana script for writing chack'n pop as opposed to the hiragana script used in almost every other version.

Chack'n pop est un jeu d'arcade développé par Taito qui a ensuite été porté sur le SG-1000 en 1985. Il suit une créature jaune nommée Chack'n qui doit traverser plusieurs labyrinthes en faisant exploser des monstres. La version SG-1000 du jeu comprend des cinématiques supplémentaires et un niveau d'entraînement inédit dans la version arcade. Bien que chack'n pop n'ait pas été un jeu particulièrement réussi pour taito, il allait inspirer le succès de Bubble Bobble, qui partage bon nombre des mêmes personnages et consacre une scène à chack'n pop. Chack'n est également apparu dans de nombreux jeux taito depuis, notamment Bubble Bobble, Fairyland Story, Parasol Stars, Puzzle Bobble (et ses suites), Bubble Symphony, Bubble Memories et Arkanoid DS. Curieusement, cette version SG-1000 utilise le script katakana pour écrire du chack'n pop, par opposition au script hiragana utilisé dans presque toutes les autres versions.

Curiosamente questa versione dell'sg-1000 utilizza la scrittura katakana per scrivere chack'n pop in contrapposizione alla scrittura hiragana usata in quasi tutte le altre versioni.
