Monstania

The hero of the game is fron, a sixteen-year old boy who lives on the island of monstania. One day, strolling in the forest, he notices a strange light. The light lead him to a clearing, and then suddenly disappeared. But fron realized what was the meaning of that light - it was a fairy! of course, everybody knew that fairies had been long extinct, but fron never believed in that. All his life he wanted to meet a real fairy, and now, when the opportunity has come, he firmly decides to find her. His girlfriend tia helps him on the dangerous journey, during which they meet a mysterious little girl named chitta, and get involved in a grand adventure, that will ultimately lead them to the battle against the dark force that threatens the whole monstania! "monstania" has a somewhat unusual gameplay within the frames of console rpgs. You don't explore the world in the game: it is entirely linear and takes you to the next destination by itself (only at a few points you can choose where to go next by selecting an appropriate answer). Once within the location, you cannot leave it until you complete all your objectives there, which then take you to the next location. The objective is usually a large strategic battle. You navigate your party members on the battle field, attack with melee and long-ranged weapons, and use special technique which require action points. Unlike most other turn-based strategy games, an enemy makes a move immediately after you did the same with one of your characters, without waiting for the "enemy turn". The rpg element is not very significant: your characters level up automatically after each battle. There are also some puzzles to solve in certain locations.

Le héros du jeu est Fron, un garçon de seize ans qui vit sur l'île de Monstania. Un jour, en se promenant dans la forêt, il remarque une étrange lumière. La lumière le conduisit vers une clairière, puis disparut brusquement. Mais il réalisa quelle était la signification de cette lumière : c'était une fée ! bien sûr, tout le monde savait que les fées avaient disparu depuis longtemps, mais je n’y ai jamais cru. Toute sa vie, il a voulu rencontrer une vraie fée, et maintenant, lorsque l'occasion se présente, il décide fermement de la retrouver. Sa petite amie Tia l'aide dans ce dangereux voyage, au cours duquel ils rencontrent une mystérieuse petite fille nommée Chitta et s'impliquent dans une grande aventure qui les mènera finalement à la bataille contre la force obscure qui menace toute la Monstanie ! "Monstania" a un gameplay quelque peu inhabituel dans le cadre des jeux de rôle sur console. Vous n'explorez pas le monde dans le jeu : il est entièrement linéaire et vous emmène tout seul vers la prochaine destination (seulement à quelques points, vous pouvez choisir où aller ensuite en sélectionnant une réponse appropriée). Une fois sur place, vous ne pouvez pas le quitter tant que vous n'y avez pas atteint tous vos objectifs, qui vous amènent ensuite à l'emplacement suivant. L'objectif est généralement une grande bataille stratégique. Vous dirigez les membres de votre groupe sur le champ de bataille, attaquez avec des armes de mêlée et à longue portée et utilisez des techniques spéciales qui nécessitent des points d'action. Contrairement à la plupart des autres jeux de stratégie au tour par tour, un ennemi effectue un mouvement immédiatement après que vous ayez fait la même chose avec l'un de vos personnages, sans attendre le « tour de l'ennemi ». L'élément RPG n'est pas très significatif : vos personnages montent de niveau automatiquement après chaque bataille. Il y a aussi quelques énigmes à résoudre à certains endroits.

Ma poi capì quale fosse il significato di quella luce: era una fata! ovviamente tutti sapevano che le fate erano estinte da tempo, ma non ci avevano mai creduto. Per tutta la vita ha desiderato incontrare una vera fata e ora, quando è arrivata l'occasione, decide fermamente di trovarla. La sua ragazza Tia lo aiuta nel pericoloso viaggio, durante il quale incontrano una misteriosa ragazzina di nome Chitta, e vengono coinvolti in una grande avventura, che alla fine li porterà alla battaglia contro la forza oscura che minaccia l'intera Monstania! "Monstania" ha un gameplay alquanto insolito nell'ambito dei giochi di ruolo per console. Nel gioco non esplori il mondo: è del tutto lineare e ti porta da solo alla destinazione successiva (solo in alcuni punti puoi scegliere dove andare successivamente selezionando una risposta appropriata). Una volta all'interno del luogo, non potrai lasciarlo finché non avrai completato tutti i tuoi obiettivi lì, che ti porteranno poi al luogo successivo. L'obiettivo è solitamente una grande battaglia strategica. Navighi tra i membri del tuo gruppo sul campo di battaglia, attacchi con armi da mischia e a lungo raggio e usi tecniche speciali che richiedono punti azione. A differenza della maggior parte degli altri giochi di strategia a turni, un nemico effettua una mossa immediatamente dopo che tu hai fatto lo stesso con uno dei tuoi personaggi, senza aspettare il "turno del nemico". L'elemento gdr non è molto significativo: i tuoi personaggi salgono di livello automaticamente dopo ogni battaglia. Ci sono anche alcuni enigmi da risolvere in determinati luoghi.
