Aquarium by ds is a fish tank simulation in which the player can choose from 30 different underwater animals. Additionally, the player can customize their tank in size and add different backgrounds and accessories like plants, rocks or even buildings like the leaning tower of pisa. New fish types can be unlocked by taking good care of the aquariums residents. And that's the aim of the game, taking care of the fish in the tank. They need to be fed, the tank has to be cleaned and water temp and salinity have to be adjusted to create a perfect environment. A wrong environment or an unsuitable mix of animals in the tank will result in the death of the players pets. Instead of swimming dead at the surface or bloody death animations they simply disappear from the screen. Not playing the game for a few days and therefore not feeding, will result in a deadly surprise, too. Using the wi-fi-feature of the ds the player can swap fishes with other players.

Aquarium by ds est une simulation d'aquarium dans laquelle le joueur peut choisir parmi 30 animaux sous-marins différents. De plus, le joueur peut personnaliser la taille de son réservoir et ajouter différents arrière-plans et accessoires comme des plantes, des rochers ou même des bâtiments comme la tour penchée de Pise. De nouveaux types de poissons peuvent être débloqués en prenant bien soin des résidents de l'aquarium. Et c'est le but du jeu, prendre soin des poissons dans l'aquarium. Ils doivent être nourris, le réservoir doit être nettoyé et la température et la salinité de l’eau doivent être ajustées pour créer un environnement parfait. Un mauvais environnement ou un mélange inapproprié d'animaux dans le réservoir entraînera la mort des animaux de compagnie du joueur. Au lieu de nager morts à la surface ou d'animations de mort sanglante, ils disparaissent simplement de l'écran. Ne pas jouer au jeu pendant quelques jours et donc ne pas se nourrir entraînera également une surprise mortelle. En utilisant la fonction Wi-Fi du DS, le joueur peut échanger des poissons avec d'autres joueurs.

Aquarium di ds è una simulazione di acquario in cui il giocatore può scegliere tra 30 diversi animali sottomarini. Inoltre, il giocatore può personalizzare le dimensioni del proprio carro armato e aggiungere diversi sfondi e accessori come piante, rocce o persino edifici come la torre pendente di Pisa. Nuovi tipi di pesci possono essere sbloccati prendendosi cura dei residenti dell'acquario. E questo è lo scopo del gioco, prendersi cura dei pesci nell'acquario. Hanno bisogno di essere nutriti, la vasca deve essere pulita e la temperatura dell'acqua e la salinità devono essere regolate per creare un ambiente perfetto. Un ambiente sbagliato o un mix inadatto di animali nell'acquario comporteranno la morte degli animali domestici del giocatore. Invece di nuotare morti in superficie o animazioni di morte cruenta, semplicemente scompaiono dallo schermo. Anche non giocare per qualche giorno e quindi non nutrirsi comporterà una sorpresa mortale. Utilizzando la funzionalità Wi-Fi del DS il giocatore può scambiare pesci con altri giocatori.
