Mortal Kombat II

Following his failure to defeat to liu kang in the first mortal kombat game, the evil sorcerer shang tsung begs his master, shao kahn, to spare his life. He tells shao kahn that the invitation for mortal kombat cannot be turned down, and if they hold it in outworld, the earthrealm warriors must attend. Kahn agrees to this plan, and even restores tsung's youth. He then extends the invitation to raiden, who gathers his warriors and takes them into outworld. The new tournament is much more dangerous, as shao kahn has the home field advantage, and an outworld victory will allow him to subdue earthrealm.

Suite à son échec à vaincre Liu Kang dans le premier jeu Mortal Kombat, le méchant sorcier Shang Tsung supplie son maître, Shao Kahn, d'épargner sa vie. Il dit à Shao Kahn que l'invitation à Mortal Kombat ne peut pas être refusée et que s'ils la tiennent dans le monde extérieur, les guerriers du royaume terrestre doivent y assister. Kahn accepte ce plan et redonne même à Tsung sa jeunesse. Il invite ensuite Raiden, qui rassemble ses guerriers et les emmène dans le monde extérieur. Le nouveau tournoi est beaucoup plus dangereux, car Shao Kahn a l'avantage du terrain, et une victoire à l'extérieur du monde lui permettra de maîtriser le royaume terrestre.
