Trog (prototype, rev PA6-PAC 09/09/90)

1 to 4 players take on the role of a cute dinosaur, selected from the four on offer : rex (red), bloop (blue), spike (yellow) and gwen (lavender). The game takes place in a prehistoric land called 'og' and is made up of forty-nine different islands; the dinos must collect all of the dinosaur eggs that lay on the islands, while avoiding the unwanted attention of a tribe of one-eyed cavemen, called 'trogs'. The dinos can punch the attacking trogs; one punch will only stun a trog but several punches will knock the enemy off the screen. There are 4 different trogs who pursue the dinos : * brown trogs who use only their fists. * red trogs who use clubs and create fires or holes in the ground. * blue trogs who pop up out of the ground and roll stone wheels. * green trogs who bounce around trying to crush you with their springs. On each island, after the dinos have gathered up all of their eggs, they must make their way to the base labeled 'home'; from here they will move on to the next island. Between each stage, there is an intermission where the players' dinos will dance, with an on-screen caption proudly declaring 'excellent!', 'congratulations!', 'nice work!', 'good job!' or 'dino-mite!'. On occasion, an intermission screen appears that shows a trog planning another attempt to eat a dino.

1 à 4 joueurs incarnent un mignon dinosaure, choisi parmi les quatre proposés : rex (rouge), bloop (bleu), Spike (jaune) et Gwen (lavande). Le jeu se déroule dans une terre préhistorique appelée « og » et est composée de quarante-neuf îles différentes ; les dinosaures doivent collecter tous les œufs de dinosaures qui pondent sur les îles, tout en évitant l'attention indésirable d'une tribu d'hommes des cavernes borgnes, appelés « trogs ». Les dinosaures peuvent frapper les trogs attaquants ; un coup de poing ne fera qu'étourdir un trog, mais plusieurs coups feront sortir l'ennemi de l'écran. Il y a 4 trogs différents qui poursuivent les dinosaures : * des trogs bruns qui n'utilisent que leurs poings. * les trogs rouges qui utilisent des gourdins et créent des feux ou des trous dans le sol. * des trogs bleus qui surgissent du sol et font rouler des roues de pierre. * des trogs verts qui rebondissent en essayant de vous écraser avec leurs ressorts. Sur chaque île, une fois que les dinosaures ont récupéré tous leurs œufs, ils doivent se diriger vers la base intitulée « maison » ; de là, ils passeront à l’île suivante. Entre chaque étape, il y a un entracte au cours duquel les dinosaures des joueurs danseront, avec une légende à l'écran déclarant fièrement « excellent ! », « félicitations ! », « beau travail ! », « bon travail ! ou « dino-acarien ! ». Parfois, un écran d'entracte apparaît montrant un trog planifiant une autre tentative de manger un dinosaure.

Da 1 a 4 giocatori assumono il ruolo di un simpatico dinosauro, scelto tra i quattro offerti: rex (rosso), bloop (blu), spike (giallo) e gwen (lavanda). Il gioco è ambientato in una terra preistorica chiamata "og" ed è composta da quarantanove isole diverse; i dinosauri devono raccogliere tutte le uova di dinosauro che si trovano sulle isole, evitando le attenzioni indesiderate di una tribù di uomini delle caverne con un occhio solo, chiamati "trog". I dinosauri possono prendere a pugni i trog attaccanti; un pugno stordirà solo un trog, ma diversi pugni faranno cadere il nemico dallo schermo. Ci sono 4 diversi trog che inseguono i dinosauri: * Trog marroni che usano solo i pugni. * trog rossi che usano mazze e creano fuochi o buchi nel terreno. * Trog blu che spuntano dal terreno e fanno rotolare ruote di pietra. * Trog verdi che rimbalzano cercando di schiacciarti con le loro molle. Su ogni isola, dopo che i dinosauri hanno raccolto tutte le loro uova, devono dirigersi verso la base etichettata "casa"; da qui si sposteranno verso l'isola successiva. Tra ogni fase, c'è un intervallo in cui i dinosauri dei giocatori balleranno, con una didascalia sullo schermo che dichiara con orgoglio "eccellente!", "congratulazioni!", "bel lavoro!", "bel lavoro!" o 'dino-acaro!'. A volte, appare una schermata di intervallo che mostra un trog che pianifica un altro tentativo di mangiare un dinosauro.
