A 1 or 2-player sideways scrolling beat-em-up sees the sailor senshi fighting their way through five levels of anime-based combat. Each sailor soldier - chosen from a selection of 5, stiletto and mini skirt-wearing combatants - can punch, kick, jump, and throw their enemies; before finally reaching the traditional end-of-level boss. As with capcom's "final fight", and indeed many other games of the genre, items that aid the player are either dropped by beaten enemies or revealed after hitting certain obstacles and containers. Food can be used to replenish lost health and various trinkets can be picked up for bonus points. Finally, magic crystals can be found and are needed to activate the 'special attack' move. This works in a similar way to sega's "shinobi", with every enemy on the screen taking a hit. Players must have at least one crystal to use the special attack and up to 5 crystals can be carried at once. The more crystals the player holds when the special attack is utilized, the more effective it is against the game's enemies. Each level features its own unique, anime style animation. On level five, sailor soldier's signature attack move, from the original japanese anime upon which the game is based, makes an appearance.

Un beat-em-up à défilement latéral pour 1 ou 2 joueurs voit le marin senshi se frayer un chemin à travers cinq niveaux de combat basés sur l'anime. Chaque marin soldat - choisi parmi une sélection de 5 combattants portant des talons aiguilles et des mini-jupes - peut frapper, donner des coups de pied, sauter et projeter ses ennemis ; avant d'atteindre enfin le traditionnel boss de fin de niveau. Ogni soldato marinaio, scelto da una selezione di 5 combattenti che indossano tacchi a spillo e minigonna, può dare pugni, calci, saltare e lanciare i propri nemici; prima di raggiungere finalmente il tradizionale boss di fine livello. Come nel "combattimento finale" di Capcom, e in effetti in molti altri giochi del genere, gli oggetti che aiutano il giocatore vengono lasciati cadere dai nemici sconfitti o rivelati dopo aver colpito determinati ostacoli e contenitori. Il cibo può essere utilizzato per ripristinare la salute perduta e vari ninnoli possono essere raccolti per ottenere punti bonus. Infine, è possibile trovare cristalli magici, necessari per attivare la mossa "attacco speciale". Funziona in modo simile allo "shinobi" di Sega, con ogni nemico sullo schermo che viene colpito. I giocatori devono avere almeno un cristallo per utilizzare l'attacco speciale e possono essere trasportati fino a 5 cristalli contemporaneamente. Più cristalli il giocatore tiene quando viene utilizzato l'attacco speciale, più efficace sarà contro i nemici del gioco. Ogni livello presenta la propria animazione unica in stile anime. Al livello cinque, fa la sua comparsa la mossa di attacco tipica del soldato marinaio, dall'anime giapponese originale su cui è basato il gioco.
