To stop the outworld realm from totally merging with the earth realm, a few earth warriors were chosen to have their souls protected from shao kahn in order to defend the earth realm in a new mortal kombat tournament. 14 digitized characters fight to overthrow shao khan and his centaur lieutenant motaro.

Riuscendo a conquistare il regno terrestre, Shao Khan prende come sue tutte le anime umane sulla terra. Per impedire al regno esterno di fondersi completamente con il regno terrestre, alcuni guerrieri della terra furono scelti per proteggere le loro anime da Shao Kahn al fine di difendere il regno terrestre in un nuovo torneo di mortal kombat. 14 personaggi digitalizzati combattono per rovesciare Shao Khan e il suo centauro luogotenente Motaro.
