Hamburger (DECO Cassette, Japan)

Hamburger is a platform game in which one or two players take on the role of burger chef 'peter pepper'. The chef must create a set number of burgers per level by collecting the separate ingredients needed to make each one (two pieces of bun, the burger itself and/or a garnish, such as lettuce or cheese). Each screen is made up of platforms joined by connecting ladders. At the bottom of the screen are a number of empty plates while the burger ingredients lay across the platforms directly above the plates. The chef must walk across the entire width of the ingredients to make them drop to the platform below. A burger is only completed once all of its ingredients have been dropped onto the corresponding plate at the bottom of the screen. The chef's efforts are hampered by the rogue ingredients that are constantly chasing him. They are called 'mr. Hot dog', 'mr. Egg' and 'mr. Pickle'. Any contact with them results in the loss of a life. The chef can temporarily freeze the enemies by throwing pepper at them. He only carries a limited amount of pepper but this can be replenished by collecting the bonus food items that randomly appear (ice cream cones, coffee, and fries). In addition to the pepper, any enemies located on a platform below the chef can be killed by dropping an available burger ingredient on top of them. Enemies become more numerous and faster moving as the levels progress.

Hamburger est un jeu de plateforme dans lequel un ou deux joueurs jouent le rôle du chef burger « Peter Pepper ». Le chef doit créer un nombre défini de burgers par niveau en rassemblant les ingrédients distincts nécessaires à la préparation de chacun (deux morceaux de pain, le burger lui-même et/ou une garniture, comme de la laitue ou du fromage). Chaque écran est constitué de plates-formes reliées par des échelles de liaison. Au bas de l'écran se trouvent un certain nombre d'assiettes vides tandis que les ingrédients du hamburger reposent sur les plates-formes directement au-dessus des assiettes. Le chef doit parcourir toute la largeur des ingrédients pour les faire tomber sur la plateforme située en dessous. Un burger n'est terminé que lorsque tous ses ingrédients ont été déposés sur l'assiette correspondante en bas de l'écran. Les efforts du chef sont entravés par les ingrédients voyous qui le poursuivent constamment. Ils s'appellent 'Mr. Hot dog', 'M. Oeuf' et 'm. Saumure'. Tout contact avec eux entraîne la perte d’une vie. Le chef peut geler temporairement les ennemis en leur lançant du poivre. Il ne transporte qu'une quantité limitée de poivre, mais celle-ci peut être reconstituée en collectant les aliments bonus qui apparaissent au hasard (cornets de glace, café et frites). En plus du poivre, tous les ennemis situés sur une plate-forme sous le chef peuvent être tués en laissant tomber un ingrédient de hamburger disponible dessus. Les ennemis deviennent plus nombreux et se déplacent plus rapidement à mesure que les niveaux progressent.

Un hamburger viene completato solo quando tutti gli ingredienti sono stati depositati sul piatto corrispondente nella parte inferiore dello schermo. Gli sforzi dello chef sono ostacolati dagli ingredienti canaglia che lo inseguono costantemente. Si chiamano 'mr. Hot dog', 'sig. Uovo' e 'mr. Sottaceto'. Qualsiasi contatto con loro provoca la perdita di una vita. Lo chef può congelare temporaneamente i nemici lanciando loro del pepe.
