Super Bust-A-Move

Super puzzle bobble introduces some new elements to the series (and removes some others): large bubbles are found in certain levels. Shooting a bubble of the same color at them makes every bubble in the level change into that color. In some levels, the pointer and the bubbles that are shot are of a very small size, enabling the player to shoot bubbles between small gaps. These bubbles grow into normal size after being clustered. Occasionally, a conveyor belt will surround the level. This makes bouncing off the ceiling and the walls significantly tricky, since the bubbles' trajectory will change upon bouncing. Levels do not always have the usual rectangular shape. Some of them are jagged or have walls inside them, which forces the player to change strategy. Small blocks appear in some levels. They change the bubbles' trajectories, much like walls, but they move down with the level and fall off when they touch the line. The pulley system introduced in puzzle bobble 4 is nowhere to be seen. Chain reaction is only present in 2p battles, but it is completely optional.

Super puzzle bobble introduit de nouveaux éléments dans la série (et en supprime d'autres) : de grosses bulles se trouvent à certains niveaux. En leur tirant une bulle de la même couleur, chaque bulle du niveau prend cette couleur. Dans certains niveaux, le pointeur et les bulles projetées sont de très petite taille, permettant au joueur de tirer des bulles entre de petits espaces. Ces bulles atteignent une taille normale après avoir été regroupées. Parfois, un tapis roulant entourera le niveau. Cela rend le rebond sur le plafond et les murs très délicat, car la trajectoire des bulles changera lors du rebond. Les niveaux n'ont pas toujours la forme rectangulaire habituelle. Certains d'entre eux sont irréguliers ou comportent des murs à l'intérieur, ce qui oblige le joueur à changer de stratégie. De petits blocs apparaissent dans certains niveaux. Elles modifient la trajectoire des bulles, un peu comme les murs, mais elles descendent avec le niveau et tombent lorsqu'elles touchent la ligne. Le système de poulie introduit dans Puzzle Bobble 4 est introuvable. La réaction en chaîne n'est présente que dans les batailles 2p, mais elle est totalement facultative.

Il Super Puzzle Bobble introduce alcuni nuovi elementi nella serie (e ne rimuove altri): a certi livelli si trovano bolle grandi. Sparargli contro una bolla dello stesso colore fa sì che ogni bolla nel livello cambi in quel colore. In alcuni livelli, il puntatore e le bolle sparate sono di dimensioni molto ridotte, consentendo al giocatore di sparare bolle tra piccoli spazi. Queste bolle raggiungono dimensioni normali dopo essere state raggruppate. Occasionalmente, un nastro trasportatore circonderà il livello. Ciò rende il rimbalzo sul soffitto e sulle pareti molto complicato, poiché la traiettoria delle bolle cambierà durante il rimbalzo. I livelli non hanno sempre la solita forma rettangolare. Alcuni di essi sono frastagliati o presentano muri al loro interno, il che costringe il giocatore a cambiare strategia. In alcuni livelli compaiono piccoli blocchi. Cambiano le traiettorie delle bolle, proprio come i muri, ma si abbassano con il livello e cadono quando toccano la linea. Il sistema di carrucole introdotto in Puzzle Bobble 4 non si vede da nessuna parte. La reazione a catena è presente solo nelle battaglie 2p, ma è completamente opzionale.
