Crystal Warriors

The continent of tyramus has lived in peace for almost a century, thanks to the four elemental crystals of the kingdom of arliel. However, peace is threatened by the invading armies of the jyn empire, led by emperor grym, who wants to use the four crystals to rule over tyramus. Fortunately, princess iris can escape with one of the crystals and now the player has to protect her and the crystal and somehow find a way to drive back the hordes of jyn. Gameplay in crystal warriors is quite similar to shining force. The player fights in turn-based battles controlling different characters like fighters, healers, rangers and mages, all with different strengths and skills. Whenever two units engage in battle, they enter a duel mode lasting for up to two turns. In this mode the player can choose between four commands: "battle" (attack), "retreat", "spell" and "monster". While the first three commands are quite self-explanatory, the "monster" command is interesting. Whenever a non-human enemy is defeated, it can be tamed and be used in battles. While most monsters do not have many hp they can serve as good attackers for physically weak characters or take some hits in order to protect his master. In-between battles the player can visit towns to rest, buy weapons and spells or recruit new party members.

Le continent de Tyramus vit en paix depuis près d'un siècle, grâce aux quatre cristaux élémentaires du royaume d'Arliel. Cependant, la paix est menacée par les armées d'invasion de l'empire Jyn, dirigées par l'empereur Grym, qui veut utiliser les quatre cristaux pour régner sur Tyramus. Heureusement, la princesse Iris peut s'échapper avec l'un des cristaux et le joueur doit maintenant la protéger ainsi que le cristal et trouver un moyen de repousser les hordes de Jyn. Le gameplay de Crystal Warriors est assez similaire à celui de Shining Force. Le joueur combat dans des combats au tour par tour en contrôlant différents personnages comme des combattants, des guérisseurs, des rangers et des mages, tous dotés de forces et de compétences différentes. Chaque fois que deux unités s'engagent dans une bataille, elles entrent dans un mode duel qui dure jusqu'à deux tours. Dans ce mode, le joueur peut choisir entre quatre commandes : « bataille » (attaque), « retraite », « sort » et « monstre ». Si les trois premières commandes sont assez explicites, la commande « monstre » est intéressante. Chaque fois qu'un ennemi non humain est vaincu, il peut être apprivoisé et utilisé dans des batailles. Bien que la plupart des monstres n'aient pas beaucoup de PV, ils peuvent servir de bons attaquants pour des personnages physiquement faibles ou encaisser quelques coups afin de protéger leur maître. Entre les batailles, le joueur peut visiter les villes pour se reposer, acheter des armes et des sorts ou recruter de nouveaux membres du groupe.

Il gameplay in Crystal Warriors è abbastanza simile a Shining Force. Il giocatore combatte in battaglie a turni controllando diversi personaggi come combattenti, guaritori, ranger e maghi, tutti con punti di forza e abilità diversi. Ogni volta che due unità entrano in battaglia, entrano in una modalità duello che dura fino a due turni. In questa modalità il giocatore può scegliere tra quattro comandi: "battaglia" (attacco), "ritirata", "incantesimo" e "mostro". Mentre i primi tre comandi sono abbastanza autoesplicativi, il comando "mostro" è interessante. Ogni volta che un nemico non umano viene sconfitto, può essere domato e utilizzato nelle battaglie. Sebbene la maggior parte dei mostri non abbia molti HP, possono fungere da buoni attaccanti per personaggi fisicamente deboli o incassare alcuni colpi per proteggere il loro padrone. Tra una battaglia e l'altra il giocatore può visitare le città per riposarsi, acquistare armi e incantesimi o reclutare nuovi membri del gruppo.
