Shatterhand is an action game with eight-direction scrolling. You control shatterhand in his quest to find and defeat general grover, leader of the metal command. Through the game you’ll encounter all kinds of mechanical and biomechanical creatures. Shatterhand’s primary weapon is his cybernetic fists and therefore most enemies must be defeated by punching them. Additional help can be given from any of the eight hovering satellite robots, each of which has it’s own weapon that fires automatically when shatterhand throws a punch. These satellite robots can be obtained by collecting combinations of alpha-beta letters that appear when you punch some of the white boxes that are scattered throughout each stage. The game has seven stages. The first and the last must be played first and last respectively, but the five middle stages can be played in any order. The path to the final showdown with general grover leads through a factory, a refinery, an anti-gravity research facility, a submarine, a burning subway, a filtration plant and finally to general grover’s missile launch complex.

Shatterhand est un jeu d'action avec défilement dans huit directions. Vous contrôlez Shatterhand dans sa quête pour trouver et vaincre le général Grover, chef du commandement métal. À travers le jeu, vous rencontrerez toutes sortes de créatures mécaniques et biomécaniques. L'arme principale de Shatterhand sont ses poings cybernétiques et la plupart des ennemis doivent donc être vaincus en les frappant. Une aide supplémentaire peut être apportée par l'un des huit robots satellites en vol stationnaire, chacun possédant sa propre arme qui tire automatiquement lorsque Shatterhand lance un coup de poing. Ces robots satellites peuvent être obtenus en collectant des combinaisons de lettres alpha-bêta qui apparaissent lorsque vous frappez certaines des cases blanches dispersées à chaque étape. Le jeu comporte sept étapes. La première et la dernière doivent être jouées respectivement en premier et en dernier, mais les cinq étapes intermédiaires peuvent être jouées dans n'importe quel ordre. Le chemin menant à l'affrontement final avec le général Grover traverse une usine, une raffinerie, un centre de recherche anti-gravité, un sous-marin, un métro en feu, une usine de filtration et enfin le complexe de lancement de missiles du général Grover.

Shatterhand è un gioco d'azione con scorrimento in otto direzioni. Sei tu a controllare Shatterhand nella sua ricerca per trovare e sconfiggere il generale Grover, leader del comando del metallo. Durante il gioco incontrerai tutti i tipi di creature meccaniche e biomeccaniche. L'arma principale di Shatterhand sono i suoi pugni cibernetici e quindi la maggior parte dei nemici deve essere sconfitta colpendoli. Ulteriore aiuto può essere fornito da uno qualsiasi degli otto robot satelliti sospesi, ognuno dei quali ha la propria arma che spara automaticamente quando Shatterhand sferra un pugno. Questi robot satellitari possono essere ottenuti raccogliendo combinazioni di lettere alfa-beta che appaiono quando si perfora alcune delle caselle bianche sparse in ogni livello. Il gioco ha sette fasi. La prima e l'ultima devono essere giocate rispettivamente per prima e per ultima, ma le cinque fasi intermedie possono essere giocate in qualsiasi ordine. Il percorso verso lo scontro finale con il generale Grover passa attraverso una fabbrica, una raffineria, un centro di ricerca antigravitazionale, un sottomarino, una metropolitana in fiamme, un impianto di filtraggio e infine al complesso di lancio missilistico del generale Grover.
