Kaiketsu Yancha Maru III : Taiketsu! Zouringen

The princess has been kidnapped again, this time by a pair of menacing-looking figures. Locked in a tower, she manages to write a plea for help on a scrap of paper and then sends a paper airplane out of her prison. Miraculously, it reaches her boyfriend yanchamaru who, being the upstanding samurai that he is, immediately sets out to save her. Kaiketsu yanchamaru 3 is the final sequel to kid niki and is a significant departure from the first two games. Not only does the game feature full four-way scrolling and large maps to explore, but yanchamaru himself sports a completely new look and numerous new abilities. His trademark spinning sword now seems to more closely resemble a bo, and yanchamaru can now use it to shoot waves of energy at foes, bounce on the end, spin in place, and even launch off of walls and corners. Taking a cue from mega man, he also now has the ability to slide through narrow spaces and underneath dangerous spikes. Each stage contains numerous keys and locked doors. Any key will open any door, and it is possible to complete a stage without even finding all the keys and doors. The final door in each stage leads to the boss room. After clearing each stage, your performance is tallied, and depending on what you did, bonuses such as points or lives are given.

Miraculeusement, il atteint son petit ami Yanchamaru qui, étant un samouraï honnête, entreprend immédiatement de la sauver. Kaiketsu Yanchamaru 3 est la suite finale de Kid Niki et constitue un changement significatif par rapport aux deux premiers jeux. Non seulement le jeu propose un défilement complet dans quatre directions et de grandes cartes à explorer, mais Yanchamaru lui-même arbore un tout nouveau look et de nombreuses nouvelles capacités. Son épée tournante caractéristique semble désormais ressembler davantage à un bo, et Yanchamaru peut désormais l'utiliser pour lancer des vagues d'énergie sur les ennemis, rebondir sur l'extrémité, tourner sur place et même se lancer depuis les murs et les coins. S'inspirant de Mega Man, il a désormais également la capacité de se glisser dans des espaces étroits et sous des pointes dangereuses. Chaque étape contient de nombreuses clés et portes verrouillées. N'importe quelle clé ouvrira n'importe quelle porte, et il est possible de terminer une étape sans même trouver toutes les clés et toutes les portes. La dernière porte de chaque étape mène à la salle du boss. Après avoir terminé chaque étape, votre performance est comptabilisée et, en fonction de ce que vous avez fait, des bonus tels que des points ou des vies sont attribués.

Non solo il gioco è dotato di scorrimento completo in quattro direzioni e grandi mappe da esplorare, ma lo stesso Yanchamaru sfoggia un aspetto completamente nuovo e numerose nuove abilità. La sua tipica spada rotante ora sembra somigliare più da vicino a un bo, e Yanchamaru ora può usarla per lanciare ondate di energia contro i nemici, rimbalzare sull'estremità, ruotare sul posto e persino lanciarsi da muri e angoli. Prendendo spunto da Mega Man, ora ha anche la capacità di scivolare attraverso spazi stretti e sotto spuntoni pericolosi. Ogni livello contiene numerose chiavi e porte chiuse. Qualsiasi chiave aprirà qualsiasi porta ed è possibile completare un livello senza nemmeno trovare tutte le chiavi e le porte. L'ultima porta di ogni livello conduce alla stanza del boss. Dopo aver completato ogni livello, le tue prestazioni vengono conteggiate e, a seconda di ciò che hai fatto, vengono assegnati bonus come punti o vite.
